Chengde Mountain Resort

The Chengde Mountain is one of the most famous tourist attractions in China, located in Chengde of Hebei Province in China involving a total stretch of 5.64 million sq. km. In fact, the largest imperial garden existing today in China covers twice the area covered by Beijing Summer Palace. Built in the years 1703 to 1792, Chengde Mountain Resort is a world heritage site declared by UNESCO, which was built over a long period of time of about 89 years.

Chengde Mountain Resort is a vast expanse of land containing a remarkable summer offering scenic views and pleasant weather. It is home to major palaces, magnificent temples, huge mountains and lakes that are still quiet offer a wide range of enjoyable activities such as walking, riding, boating hiking and climbing. Chengde Mountain Resort in divided into two main sections:

1. Palace Zone: The Chinese palace evoke the beautiful presence of magnificence and grandeur, but these palaces,

Chengde Mountain Resort, display extremely unique architectural style similar to the residential areas in northern China. This architectural approach of northern China is most evident in the black bricks, grey stone tiles steps and a wide facade full of old pine trees, all expressing the peace and grace. 2. Scenic Area: The scenic zone is divided into:

* Lake Area: This area in the southern part of Chengde Mountain Resort is composed of ten islands and nine lakes including Lake Mirror, Half Moon Lake, the centre of Lake and Silver Lake. In fact, most attractions Chengde Mountain Resort are around these lakes.

* Radius plain: This beautiful area is located to the north of the Chengde Mountain with the palace wall to the east and mountains to the west. Composed mainly of grasslands and forests, this picturesque area is divided into three divisions: a botanical garden to the east with 28 Mongolian tents, a little land in the west for riding and other heritage buildings as temples in the north.

* Mountain area: This area consists of images of PEAR Valley, Pine Valley, Pine Valley clouds and valley Filbert composed of rugged mountains, lush forests, streams and winding waterfalls deep.
